Supporting Barossa businesses to take on trainees and apprentices
Fifteen businesses in the Barossa region will receive a tailored support package to help them employ an apprentice or trainee for the first time and grow their business.
The pilot project will support:
participants to begin apprenticeships or traineeships with local small businesses
businesses to consider their skills needs and assist with planning.
Through the project, organisations will access the region’s Business 2 Business (B2B) network, including professional practitioners such as workforce development agents, accountants and legal practitioners which will help them become ready to employ an apprentice.
The project is being led by Regional Development Australia (RDA) Barossa Gawler Light Adelaide Plains with the B2B Network funded by RDA and Local Government partners.
