Boosting businesses cyber security skills
Businesses will increase their capability through cyber security traineeships in a Skilling South Australia pilot program.
Up to 20 workers at SAGE Group, SA Power Networks and DXC Technology will be the first to begin cyber security traineeships.
The program aims to:
upskill ICT staff with the latest industry skills in cyber security functions
support participants and businesses to access subsidised training.
The two-year traineeship includes a Certificate IV in Cyber Security delivered online by TAFE SA. The Certificate IV in Cyber Security was developed by AustCyber in collaboration with national industry partners and the South Australian traineeship was endorsed by the State’s Training and Skills Commission and South Australia’s Chief Information Security Officer David Goodman.
There is a critical requirement for cyber-trained workers in industry sectors like defence, health, space, agribusiness and education, as well as the economy more broadly.
Businesses can find out more about applying for the cyber security traineeships by contacting MEGT on 13 69 63 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
