Delivering Australia’s first traineeships in brewing

We’ve partnered with the Independent Brewers Association to create traineeship opportunities and upskill workers in the state’s growing craft beer industry.

Twelve brewery workers will upskill through an Australian first traineeship in brewing through a Certificate III in Food Processing with TAFE SA.

The pilot project will support existing workers to advance their careers through practical on-the-job training and mentoring support.

Employers involved in the project include Barossa Valley Brewing, Beer Garden Brewing – Port Lincoln, Big Shed Brewing Concern, Prancing Pony Brewery and Sparkke.

Australian Apprenticeship Support Network provider MEGT is a partner in the pilot program.

This marks the 100th Skilling South Australia project to be announced – a massive milestone under Skilling South Australia.
