Civil construction apprenticeships in regional SA
At least ten jobseekers will gain employment as civil construction apprentices through a collaboration between local councils in Fleurieu Peninsula and Adelaide Hills regions.
12 participants will undertake a pre-apprenticeship program to gain fundamental skills and experience to prepare them for a full apprenticeship. At least 10 will continue to an apprenticeship, working towards a Certificate III in Civil Construction, Horticulture or Carpentry.
Participating councils are supporting regional development and ensuring the sustainability of their own workforce. The project will be delivered by Maxima in partnership with TAFE SA and a collaboration of councils led by the District Council of Yankalilla and including the Alexandrina Council, Mount Barker District Council, City of Victor Harbor and City of Onkaparinga.
